Jim May has been employed by the Ascension Parish Clerk of Court since January 1, 2011, however, prior to his full time status, he worked as the Clerk’s in-house programmer through his previous employer. His primary duty is to maintain the computer programs for the Clerk’s AS/400 computer system.
Jim has been working in the IP/Data Processing field since 1963. His entry into the field began during his military service with the US Air Force. After his discharge, he began programming in the banking industry for banks in the Baton Rouge, Natchez, Mississippi and Gonzales areas. After working his way up to Senior Vice-President, Chief Operating Officer and Cashier at the Bank of Gonzales, his banking career ended and he began to do consultant and service bureau work.
Jim is a lifetime resident of Ascension Parish and is married to Delores May. They live in Dutchtown and had 3 children.
